Why We Changed
At DMU, our infrastructure has always been strong—fast, secure, and dependable. But as our projects grew in scale and complexity, “good” wasn’t enough. We constantly push for top-tier performance and future-ready stability, ensuring that every service we deliver meets the highest standard.
Our previous environment served us well for years, but it had its limits in flexibility and scalability. We wanted complete control over performance, faster response times for high-traffic websites, and a foundation that could scale instantly as we grow. That’s what led us to design and launch our new multi-server cloud architecture, combining the power of Hetzner Cloud with the management efficiency of RunCloud.
During this transition, all client services are being migrated gradually, with careful planning to ensure minimal or no downtime. Each site is tested and verified before going live, maintaining full continuity of service for our clients.
What’s Under the Hood
The technology powering our new environment is built for speed, reliability, and visibility. Our stack runs on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with NGINX, PHP-FPM, and MariaDB at its core. Redis and FastCGI caching are enabled through RunCloud to deliver pages faster and handle higher traffic with reduced server load.
Security and stability guide every choice. SSH access is strictly key-based, a web application firewall (WAF) protects all servers, and Fail2ban actively blocks suspicious activity. Each web app runs under its own system user, ensuring full data separation and safety.
All domains are protected by Cloudflare for DDoS defense, SSL encryption, and global CDN performance. Continuous uptime and performance are tracked through the DMU Monitor for instant alerts and proactive maintenance.
Email operations are intelligently divided: the DMU Mail Sender delivers transactional messages from our services, while Zoho Mail powers professional client inboxes—ensuring smooth, secure, and reliable communication.
Reliability, Backups, and Monitoring
To ensure complete reliability, we’ve built a multi-layer backup and monitoring system:
- Daily backups through RunCloud for quick recovery.
- Weekly off-site backups stored securely on Wasabi and Backblaze.
- Real-time monitoring via UptimeRobot and BetterStack, with instant alerts for CPU, RAM, and uptime anomalies.
This approach guarantees rapid disaster recovery and constant oversight, keeping every client website stable and available.
Performance and Benefits
The results speak for themselves. Our sites now load up to three times faster on average, with more consistent uptime and smoother user experiences. Scalability is instant—resources can be increased in minutes without downtime.
Clients immediately benefit from:
- Improved speed and SEO performance
- Enhanced data security and site isolation
- Faster scaling for busy periods
- Daily and off-site backups for full redundancy *
Built for the Future
This isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a transformation. By moving to this new infrastructure, DMU has created a solid foundation for future growth, advanced automation, and higher service quality.
Every migration step has been designed for continuity and long-term stability. Our goal remains clear: to provide top-tier digital performance, maintain uninterrupted service, and give our clients infrastructure that evolves as fast as their businesses do.
The new DMU infrastructure is faster, smarter, and stronger—built not just for today, but for everything we’re building next.
